After we got back from doing an intimate destination wedding in Paris, France during winter this year, we had been dying to put together a really ultra-luxurious and glamorous styled shoot. Everything in Paris was dripping with opulence – the crystals and jewels, the flourishing flowers everywhere you look. It really inspired us to put together this shoot with our photographer friend Andy Wayne. We first chose a stunning venue in Kyalami, The Private Room, which has amazing views and is the perfect style for us to work with and create something over-the-top.
Our inspiration came from the incredible floral gardens at the Palace du Luxembourg, and the opulent crystal chandeliers in the Palace of Versailles. We decided to take these two elements and put them together with a bit of a modern spin. We used lots of beautiful flowers: Peonies, Roses, Hydrangeas, and Orchids; and created various types of floral arrangements. From enormous centerpiece floral arrangements, to small flower runners under our large mirror rounds – we really wanted to bring the floral garden them through in every aspect. We mixed the amount of flowers with lots of crystal décor, hanging crystals, glass and mirror to create the opulent and luxurious glam impact that we were aiming for.
The amazing Kelly Jayne’s did this ultra-glamorous wedding cake which completely complimented the décor and flowers on our table settings.
Every bride is different; to some brides “less is more”, and other brides love over-the-top décor and floral styles. The most important thing as a bride is to find that balance that suits you perfectly. At Red In Paris Events we like to show that we can work with all styles whether it be on more of the simple side, or whether it be something similar to this styled shoot.
